Guggenheim Aviation Partners (GAP) order placed with Airbus in January 2007 for six A330-200 freighters. Deliveries are due to commence in early 2010. GAP selected the Trent 700 engine to power all its A330 freighters on April 11, 2007. The engine contract was valued at approx. $200 million. In addition, GAP also ordered Pratt & Whitney PW4170 engines to power four A330 freighters on June 22, 2007. The P&W engine contract was valued at $160 million.

Etihad Airlines order for five Airbus A330-200s, four A340-600s and three A330-200Fs. The A340s were due for delivery in 2008 and 2009. The firm purchase contract was signed at the Paris Air Show on June 20, 2007. Etihad ordered the Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engine to power its fleet of A340-600s. The Trent 500 engine contract was valued at $200 million. The A330s will be powered by Trent 700EP engines under a $575 million contract announced on December 23, 2008. A330s deliveries are planned between 2009 and 2011.
