AEROMXICO RECEIVES FIRST EMBRAER 190 JET

So José dos Campos, November 23, 2007 Embraer has delivered the first of four EMBRAER 190 jets to Aeroméxico Connect, a subsidiary of Aeroméxico and the launch customer of the E-Jets in the country. The new aircraft, to be operated under a leasing contract with GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS), will comfortably carry 99 passengers in a dual-class configuration 11 executive and 88 coach.

"It is a great honor to deliver this aircraft to Aeroméxico Connect, Mexico's leading regional airline," said Mauro Kern, Embraer's Executive Vice President, Airline Market. "I am sure Mexican air travelers will enjoy the EMBRAER 190s unparalleled combination of space, comfort and performance, which have made our E-Jets a popular choice by operators around the world."

The acquisition of the new EMBRAER 190 aircraft is part of the fleet renovation and expansion program of the Mexican consortium, including Aeroméxico Connect, a subsidiary which currently operates 27 Embraer ERJ 145 jets on low-density regional, domestic and international markets out of Monterrey International Airport, in Mexico. Aeroméxico and Aeroméxico Connect are part of Aeroméxico Consortium, created in January 2006.

"We are proud to be the first airline in Mexico to add to its fleet the EMBRAER 190 jet and its cutting-edge high technology," stated Andrés Conesa, Aeroméxico CEO. "Aeroméxico Connect currently has 27 ERJ 145 jets. By bringing the EMBRAER 190 into the fleet, we will expand our domestic and international routes, thus allowing Aeroméxico to continue being recognized as the global airline of Latin America."

The EMBRAER 190 entered service in August 2005 and is one of the four members of the brand-new E-Jets family. With the recent sales announced at the Dubai Air Show 2007, November 11-15, the EMBRAER 170/190 family expanded its customer base to 45 airlines in more than 30 countries.
