Air Philippines Signs Contract for Three Bombardier Q300 Airliners

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Air Philippines of Pasay City, Philippines has signed a contract to acquire three Bombardier Q300 turboprop airliners. The airline has taken options on three additional Q300 aircraft.

The value of the firm order contract, based on the list price of the Q300 aircraft, is approximately $56 million US.

Established in 1995, Air Philippines currently operates eight Boeing 737 jets and serves 12 domestic points in The Philippines.

The Air Philippines Q300 aircraft, fitted with 50 passenger seats and Bombardier's Noise and Vibration Suppression (NVS) system will be used primarily on the Manila-Caticlan route. Caticlan is the gateway to the renowned resort, Boracay.

As of January 31, 2007, Bombardier had delivered 778 Q-Series aircraft to operators worldwide.
