Alma de Mexico Leasing Five More CRJ200s

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that AeroLíneas MesoAmericanas, "Alma de México" will lease five additional previously owned 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 regional jets. Alma currently operates a fleet of eight previously owned CRJ200 aircraft.

Alma de México was established as a full-service regional airline in 2006. It is based in Guadalajara, from where it serves domestic routes.

"These five additional CRJ200 regional jets will further our expansion in accordance with our business plan," said Guillermo Heredia, President and Founder of Alma. "Judging by our experience with our eight aircraft, we made the correct decision in acquiring the Bombardier CRJ200 for our fleet."

"Given the outstanding economics and performance of previously owned CRJ200 aircraft, they will continue to be vital assets for regional airlines," said Rod Sheridan, Vice-President, Asset Management Group, Bombardier Regional Aircraft.

Almost 1,400 Bombardier CRJ Series regional jets, including more than 1,000 CRJ100/200/440 aircraft are in operation worldwide.
