EMBRAER SIGNS SERVICE CONTRACT WITH SWITZERLAND'S AIRLINE BABOO

So José dos Campos, July 10, 2008 Embraer signed a five-year Parts Pool Program service contract with Switzerland's Geneva-based Baboo airline. This special customer support program provides optimized inventory control and reduces the initial investment cost for replacement parts and infrastructure.

"Baboo decided on adopting a strategic optimized approach to materials by selecting our Parts Pool Program," said Leandro Laia, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The contract covers all three EMBRAER 190 jets operated by Baboo. The Parts Pool Program will provide the airline with quick spare parts replacement, a greatly reduced need for warehousing facilities and much lower inventory management costs, while, at the same time, increasing the ability to budget expenses.

"Embraer's Parts Pool Program has a very broad scope, covering the most critical items of our daily operations," said Niels Hooiveld, Baboo Technical Director. "Embraer has more than ten years of experience on this type of program and will provide our clients with the right level of reliability and quality."
