DanaJets Places Order for an Embraer Legacy 600 Business JetNews >> Civil Aviation >> Sales & Contracts Released on Monday, July 21, 2008This is the second order by the Nigerian company that announced a deal for three other Embraer executive jets � two Phenom 100s and one Phenom 300 � in November 2007, during the Dubai Airshow. The delivery of the Phenom jets is expected to begin in 2011. "We are honored by the fact that, once again, DanaJets has chosen an Embraer product to expand its fleet of executive jets," said Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer Executive Vice President, Executive Jets. "The choice of the Legacy 600 will allow the company to provide passengers with unequalled comfort and internal space in this category, with the flexibility and reliability of a proven aircraft." Dana Airlines is a subsidiary of the Dana Group, a long-established conglomerate with 30 years of involvement in various sectors of the Nigerian marketplace. The airline is headed by its Chairman Ramesh Hathiramani, and will begin its operations in 2008, offering VIP charter flights. |
