EADS Defence & Security delivers IT-Infrastructure to NATO Headquarters

EADS Defence & Security (DS) was awarded a contract to deliver a turn key IT-Infrastructure system to 3 NATO Headquarters for 1200 users. The contracting body is the Federal Republic of Germany as Host Nation (HN) for the NATO procurement "Project 24". The contract is worth € 4.2 million.

A key factor has been the excellent collaboration with EADS' strategic partners Hewlett Packard (IT-equipment and related services) and Cisco-Systems (network components), which remarkably contributed to this success.

The main objective of "Project 24" is to extend the Public Access (PA) domains for the NATO Headquarters (HQs) Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum/NL, Allied Component Command Air HQ Ramstein/Germany and Allied Component Command Land HQ Heidelberg/Germany. Under this project, system components are provided such as workstations, laptops, local networking hardware, COTS-software, servers, a storage system, and full contractor support to install the system and provide training.
