Flybe Becomes an Authorized Service Center for Embraer ERJ 45 and E-Jets in UKNews >> Civil Aviation >> Corporate Released on Wednesday, September 24, 2008Flybe Aviation Services will have access to Embraer's structure-specific repair solutions and extensive database, and will be entitled to handle airframe and warranty issues on behalf of its customers, including the U.K.'s low-cost regional carrier Flybe, which operates the EMBRAER 195 jet. "Flybe Aviation Services will provide qualified maintenance for Embraer commercial jets. We see this partnership as a very good opportunity to offer our customers a broader network of authorized service centers," said Leandro Laia, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services � Europe, Africa and the Middle East. "While planning to expand our service center network in the region, we looked for expertise, reputation and competitive prices, in order to offer the best to our customers." This contract is a key part of Embraer's plan to expand its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network in Europe, and the attractive new base in Southwest England will be an excellent site for customers to have their work done. The MRO company has invested extensively in specific ground support equipment, tools, material, and staff training.
