Greece Buys Further Leopard 1/2 Main Battle Tanks

Representatives of the Greek government in Berlin signed a contract over the purchase of 183 combat tanks of the type LEOPARD 2 A4 and 150 LEOPARD 1 A5 from the current holdings of the German Federal Armed Forces. The agreement between the German and Greek government, also includes Krauss-Maffei Wegmann with a substantial working share.

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) will be involved with the restoration and technical adaptations of the combat tank LEOPARD 2 A4, as well as the delivery of special tools with an order volume of approximately 150 Million Euro. In addition, KMW will provide logistics support for the LEOPARD 2 A4 in Greece from the year 2006.
