SAVANNAH, Ga., September 18, 2008 - Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), today delivered its 200th large-cabin, mid-range Gulfstream G200 business jet.

The company celebrated the milestone at the Gulfstream Completions Center of Excellence for mid-cabin aircraft in Dallas, Texas, where the business jet was outfitted and painted. It was manufactured at the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) plant in Israel, where Gulfstream and IAI leaders marked the roll-out and Certificate of Airworthiness for the unfinished 200th G200 on June 4, 2008.

The ceremony in Dallas recognized Gulfstream employees who help complete both the G200 and the G150 and concluded with Dennis Stuligross, senior vice president, Operations, Gulfstream, turning the aircraft over to its owner, ALATAU A.V.V. of Aruba.

"We are delighted to celebrate this milestone in the history of Gulfstream and the G200," Stuligross said. "The people who build these business jets, both here and in Israel, should be extremely proud of their accomplishments. I know I am."

As of June 30, 2008, the in-service G200 fleet had accrued nearly 320,000 flight hours and completed more than 200,000 takeoffs and landings. The aircraft has a National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) dispatch reliability rate of 99.79 percent. In March of this year, a G200 set seven city-pair speed records in just 10 days, connecting cities in North America, Europe and Asia.

The G200 rolled out in 1997 and was the first super mid-size business jet to enter the marketplace. It was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in 1998 and entered service in 2000.

The aircraft is powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306A engines, each rated at 6,040 pounds. The G200 has a range of 3,400 nautical miles and a normal cruise speed of Mach 0.80.
