Four of the Visby-class corvettes have been handed over by Kockums to the customer, FMV (the Swedish Defence Matériel Administration), and are now undergoing a series of trials. In this instance, HMS Härnösand is receiving a helicopter, seen landing on her quarterdeck during manoeuvres in the Baltic. Of all the trials conducted so far, HMS Helsingborg's voyage to the Mediterranean has attracted the most attention. HMS Härnösand also attracted many admirers when she visited the major international "MEKO Conference" MECON in Hamburg, Germany.

HMS Karlstad, launched in the autumn, is now at the quayside for fitting out and will be handed over to the customer later this year. This means that the Visby project is on schedule.
