Test Firing of Brahmos Missile
The flight trial was carried out on 4th March, 2012 by the Second Regiment of the BrahMos Army Unit for operationalization of the Regiment in desert warfare, after training of the personnel. The BrahMos Missile System with launchers, mobile command post with its control and communication systems have been fully deployed by the Army in operational mode and the missile was fired. With this test firing BrahMos Missile System is fully operational with two Regiments of the Army.
This information was given by Minister of Defence Shri AK Antony in a written reply to Shri Ambeth Rajan in Rajya Sabha today.
