Libyan Airlines Signs for Two Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen JetlinersNews >> Civil Aviation >> Sales & Contracts Released on Thursday, January 03, 2008Based on the list price of the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the transaction announced today is valued at approximately $76 million U.S. Libyan Airlines CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft have a two-class interior with seven business class and 68 economy class seats. "With this order, we are continuing our fleet renewal program with state-of-the-art aircraft," said Eng. Tarek Arebi, Chairman, Libyan Airlines. "We are very pleased with the success the CRJ NextGen aircraft program has with airlines and we are delighted that Libyan Airlines has selected the CRJ900 NextGen regional jet," said Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. "Thirteen airlines have now placed a total of 172 firm orders for CRJ700 NextGen, CRJ900 NextGen and CRJ1000 NextGen airliners." Including the order announced today, 229 CRJ900 or CRJ900 NextGen airliners are now in service with, or have been ordered by, 17 airlines around the world.
