Mi-28N Helicopter Completes Flight Tests in Mountanious Terrain up to 3,000m of Altitude

Completed successfully the next stage of tests of Mi-28N helicopter
The prospective assault combat round-the-clock operation Mi-28N helicopter developed at Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, JSC has completed the next stage of tests in mountainous area, which proved the possibility of safe take-off from and landing on high altitude mountainous unprepared airfield correspondingly at the altitude of up to 3000 m in the daytime. Besides that the flights were also performed at night including the landings on unspecified airfields and NVG application. The tests proved the possibility of performance and safe execution of flights by means of Mi-28N helicopters applying NVG from unprepared airfields at an altitude of up to 2500 m above sea level, and also the capability of combat maneuvering of the above helicopter at night when performing flights in mountain gorges and above the highland areas.
The succeeding achievement in accomplishment of critical part of tests of the Mi-28N helicopter has proved once again feasibility of the experts' estimation of the combat aircraft under discussion exceeding by its performance all the foreign rotary-wing aircraft of the analogue category.
