Best owner found for Nobiskrug

As part of its active portfolio management activities, ThyssenKrupp Technologies is selling the Rendsburg/ Germany-based shipyard Nobiskrug GmbH. Nobiskrug, a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, has 400 employees and generated sales of 81 million euros in fiscal 2006/2007.

The buyer, Guernsey based Eagle River Capital Ltd., is part of a group of companies focused on the produc�tion and sale of ship components, providing also engineering services and commercial facility management.

With Nobiskrug, Eagle River Capital Ltd. acquires a long-standing inland shipyard, established in 1905, which is focused on the construction of mid-size mega yachts and provides refitting and repair services.

The acquisition takes economic effects retroactively as of October 01, 2007 and is subject to the approval of the supervisory bodies.
