Pratt & Whitney and SunExpress of Turkey Sign $20M Maintenance Agreement

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 8, 2007 Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners (GSP), a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company, and SunExpress, a Turkish airline, have signed a five-year, $20 million agreement giving Pratt & Whitney exclusive responsibility for maintaining the PW2037 engines on four Boeing 757-200 aircraft.

"Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners was selected as our maintenance provider because their proposal was very competitive and transparent," said Nedim Demirelli, technical director of SunExpress. "Being the OEM of this engine type also contributed in our decision."

Sun Express, with bases in Antalya and Izmir, operates a mix of charter and scheduled flights from multiple destinations between Europe and the Turkish Mediterranean and Aegean coasts. The airline is a 50/50 partnership owned by Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.

"SunExpress has been very successful since its launch in 1989. We are pleased to help their success continue by providing world-class maintenance," said Jim Keenan, senior vice president & general manager, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners.
