Raytheon Awarded US Air Force Sustainment ContractNews >> Military Aviation >> Sales & Contracts Released on Wednesday, August 06, 2008The Future Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (F2AST) IDIQ contract is a re-compete of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC) Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (FAST) and the U.S. Air Force Integrated Weapon System Support Program. The contract began July 23 and will end July 22, 2011, and could be extended up to four years to July 22, 2015. WR-ALC is located at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Ga. "The Raytheon team will offer the F2AST users the ability to upgrade platforms with the latest technology with significantly reduced cycle times," said Wayne Iurillo, vice president and general manager of RTSC's Customized Engineering and Depot Support business unit. "Raytheon and our partners are committed to providing a wide range of engineering and mission support services that will help protect the warfighter." "We are delighted Raytheon was selected as a F2AST prime contractor," said Susan Haeseler, director of the Raytheon IDIQ Service Center. "This sustainment IDIQ contract vehicle gives us the opportunity to provide development, modifications, depot maintenance and related services to the warfighter with speed and agility."
