FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW -- Regional Compagnie Aerienne Europeenne has signed a 15-year OnPointSM solution agreement for maintenance, repair and overhaul of its CF34-8E and -10E engines that power its 16 EMBRAER E170 and 10 E190 aircraft. The OnPoint agreement is valued at more than $230 million (USD) over the life of the contract. Regional Compagnie Aerienne Europeenne is a subsidiary of Air France-KLM Group.

"Contracting a long-term services contract with GE will definitely meet our expectations for CF34 maintenance, while taking advantage of AF/KL Group synergies," said Jacques Pauty, purchasing director of Regional Compagnie Aerienne Europeenne.

"GE Aviation has extensive knowledge of its CF34 engine family, and Regional Compagnie Aerienne Europeenne will receive the benefits of this knowledge and OEM material for its MRO needs to keep their engines in peak operating condition," said Paul McElhinney, president and chief executive officer of GE Aviation's Services organization.
