Rolls-Royce signs Trent 800 TotalCare agreement with Singapore Airlines

Rolls-Royce has signed a long-term TotalCare® services agreement with Singapore Airlines covering the Trent 800 engines which power its fleet of 58 Boeing 777s.

This new agreement is in addition to a current TotalCare contract for the airline's fleet of five Trent 500-powered Airbus A340-500s.

The package enables Singapore Airlines to hand over full responsibility for management of the engine fleet at an agreed dollar rate per flying hour.

TotalCare agreements, tailored for individual operators, offer a range of services extending to aspects of support such as latest predictive maintenance, asset and logistics management, as well as repair and overhaul. TotalCare offers the opportunity to remove uncertainties from engine management and provides airlines with greater financial confidence from managing predictable costs.

Meanwhile, at a special ceremony in Singapore today, Singapore Aero Engine Services Limited (SAESL), in which Rolls-Royce is a shareholder, celebrated five years of operation, during which time a total of 500 Trent engines have been overhauled.
