Su-34 in the sky

On 12 October 2006, the first production Su-34 fighter-bomber built for the Russian Air Force under the National Order took to the air from Novosibirsk-based Chkalov Aircraft Production Association. The aircraft was piloted by test pilots Yevgeniy Rudakas and Rustem Asadullin.

All missions of the flight that lasted over two hours were fulfilled, whereupon the aircraft safely returned to the manufacturer's airfield. This is the first aircraft that will be handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry's aviation unit.
