Swiss Air Force F/A-18C/D Aircraft to Receive ATFLIR Targeting PodNews >> Electronic Gear & Sensors >> Sales & Contracts Released on Monday, September 21, 2009The delivery of the ATFLIR pods by Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, expected in 2010, will provide the Swiss F/A-18 Hornet aircraft advanced electro-optical and infrared sensors with a tracking laser. "These additional pod systems give the Swiss Air Force advanced sensor and laser-tracking capability," said Tim Carey, vice president for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems. "Raytheon continues to bring engineering improvements in ISR technologies to international customers without additional development cost."
