Thailand Seeks UH-60L Blackhawk Helicopters

The DSCA notified the US Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Thailand of UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters as well as associated equipment and services.

The government of Thailand wants to purchase 2 UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters with T-700 engines, 2 spare T-700 engines, M130 chaff dispenser, receives, spare and repair parts, gun pods, tools and support equipment as well as other related issues.

Thailand will use this equipment to upgrade its air mobility capability, improve the defense of vital installations and provide close air support for ground forces.

The estimated cost of this potential sale is $35 million.

This sale requires the US Congress approval to be concluded.
