Posted on 13 September 2005 4:57 AMHi,France has recently obtained the sale of 6 diesel submarines to India: Scorpenes will be sold on a transfer of technology basis. I think since these submarines can be motorized with nuclear power, it could be a threat to international security. But, I think France has obtained this contract because of its offer quality. However it'll be difficult for France to sale Mirage fighters to India. The USA has a better offer in this field with F-16 and F-18. An Indian lobby also asked for the entry of India in the JSF program. Anyway, all these plane are nuclear carrier. Is there or not a discrepancy with the recent civil nuclear control agreement between India and the USA? Regards. Post Reply |
