The Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) is an attack rotary-wing aircraft being developed by HAL for the Indian Armed Forces. The LCH will feature tandem two-seat and will be capable of operating at very high altitudes. The first Indian attack helicopter performed its maiden flight on May 24, 2010. The aircraft was ready for deployment in early September 2020. Finally the Indian Air Force took delivery of the first operational aircraft in November 2021. The LCH helicopter was declared operational on October 3, 2022.
