The aluminum hull armor protection has also been improved to withstand direct and indirect fire attack and the vehicle is fitted with NBC (Nuclear, Bacteriological and Chemical) protection as standard equipment. The ACV-300 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) variant is equipped with a 25mm M242 Bushmaster cannon mounted on the one-man turret providing fire support against hostile infantrymen and IFVs. Besides, the 14-ton class ACV-300's turret incorporates a 7.62mm machine gun. The tank's crew consists of gunner, driver and commander plus eight infantrymen. Powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V53T diesel engine developing 300-hp of power the ACV features a top speed of 65 kph on road.
