Cadillac Gage Armored Security Vehicle (ASV) is an extreme on/off-road mobility, agile and survivable 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle suitable for a wide spectrum of scenarios. Cadillac Gage developed to fill the gap between heavy armored vehicles and smaller and lighter vehicles which offer higher mobility but without the protection provided by heavier vehicle's armor. Thus, ASV combines the high mobility of smaller vehicles, which permits even to maneuver through urban areas, with outstanding crew protection.

ASV can serve as Scout vehicle, personnel carrier, engineer vehicle, NBC, reconnaissance, medical evacuation (medevac) equipped with wider doors, and command and control vehicle. Additionally, ASV is outfitted with a turret armed with 40mm MK 19 grenade launcher and .50 caliber M2HB gun proven on Marine Corps LAV-25 vehicles or a variety of armaments to provide force protection. Its armor includes modular ceramic composite added on its external skin. Spall liner is placed on the interior for enhanced crew survivability. All in, ASV can withstand .50 caliber (12.7mm) ballistic impacts on the front, sides and rear sections. The vehicle also survives 12-lb landmines blasts under its wheels and 155mm artillery shells fragments detonated 15 meters overhead.

It is powered by a Cummins 6CTA8.3 diesel engine rated at 260-hp which allows for speeds of 100 kph over ranges of more than 400 miles (650+ km). A central tire inflation system offers the crew added mobility. A Nuclear, Bacteriological and Chemical (NBC) air filtration system offers additional protection.

The ASV has been sold to the US Army's Military Police. To date, the Military Police has successfully deployed ASVs during maneuvers in Germany and operations in Kosovo.

The M707 Armored Knight is a new variant equipped with a sensor package that is used to locate and designate targets for indirect fire and laser guided weapons. The newly configured ASV will be used by Field Artillery Combat Observation and Lasing Teams (COLT) to carry out these missions.
