The BiHo, 'Flying Tiger' in English, is a 30mm twin-barrel self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system utilizing a tracked chassis. Doosan DST and Samsung Techwin designed this gun system to provide day/night all-weather close-in air defense against airborne threats flying at low altitude at ranges up to 3 kilometers protecting military units, key facilities and infraestructures. With a maximum combined rate of fire of 1,200 (2x600) rounds per minute has a secondary engagement capability against nearby stationary armored vehicles. The Republic of Korea Army (RoKA) and military is the primary user for the BiHo weapon system. Its development started in 1983 with the first prototype fielded in 1998. Serial production weapon systems deliveries happened between 2002 and 2007.

The BiHo consists of two 30mm guns, a X-band pulse Doppler surveillance radar with a maximum detection range of 17 kilometers, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and an electro-optical (EO) tracking system. The EO system can track targets at ranges between 100 meters to 7 kilometers utilizing an advanced infrared camera and laser rangefinder. It can engage flying targets at distances of 3,000 meters with an estimated reaction time of 6-13 seconds. The BiHo's digital fire control system calculates the target's position, speed and direction in real-time. The whole system has been proven in mountainous terrain in Korea. The BiHo's 25-ton V-shaped chassis is powered by a Doosan D2840L 10V turbo-intercooled diesel engine rated at 520-hp.
