The Asio is an advanced, man-portable, electrical mini-unmanned rotorcraft providing real-time intelligence for battlefield surveillance, forward scout missions and special operations support. It is capable of fully autonomous vertical take off and landing (VTOL) as well as hovering and perching. The rotorcraft has an endurance of more than 30 minutes in flight and hovering mode and of over 4 hours in silent mode/perching. The Asio is equipped with a robust line-of-sight data link up to 12 kilometers and a stabilized high resolution imager such as infrared or daylight camera.
