The Chinese Quantum Radar (CQR) is a new radar system based upon new physical principles in order to detect stealth aircraft from great distances. The new radar system will render stealth coatings and other artifacts useless while operating effectively in intense jamming environments. The CQR is being developed by China Electronics Technology Group Corp since at least early 2018. The new radar may be intended to equip front-line fighter jets to enter service in the 2020s or 2030s such as the J-20A stealth jet. As of 2018 the CQR only exists as a technology prototype expected to pave the way for a functional radar system by 2020.
