The GOES-321MK is an optoelectronic, thermal imaging system developed by Shvabe for the Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopter. The mid-infrared frequency imaging system allows the Mi-17V-5 helicopter to operate in complete darkness at low altitudes close to the ground. The GOES-321MK delivers high resolution Full HD video imagery which highlights objects based upon their heat emissions. The device has a range of several miles. The GOES-321MK system was introduced at Army military exhibition in September 2016.
