The Karakurt-R is a small vertical takeoff and landing small drone developed by the Kalashnikov Concern of Russia in response to the Special Military Operation in Ukraine. The drone can be launched from a tube and is intended to conduct intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions in urban areas in all weather conditions. When the drone loses connection with the remote operator, the drone autonomously flies back to the base until connectivity is restored. Besides, the drones are intended to deliver target acquisition. The Karakurt-R small unmanned aerial system was unveiled in February 2025 but previously tested in Ukraine.
