The Russian Armed Forces Orlan-10 is a reconnaissance unmanned air vehicle (UAV) intended to operate in extreme climates. The Orlan-10 provides surveillance of a large area through built-in cameras. The air vehicle is powered by a nose-mounted two-blade propeller with the launch carried out using a catapult and the recovery by means of a parachute. The Orlan-10 surveillance system can be operated by a crew of two or three men. Russia deployed the Orlan-10 drones in the Arctic in April 2015.

Besides, the Orlan-30 can be used to conduct target designation missions along with guided precision weapons day/night against moving and stationary targets.
