The Pratt & Whitney PW4062 is a new variant of successful PW4000 commercial engine family selected by Boeing to power domestic and international KC-767 global tanker transport aircraft. The PW4000 engines feature FADEC for fuel consumption efficiency.
The PW4000 94-inch fan engine, along with General Electric's CF6 and Rolls Royce's RB211, was selected to power the Boeing 767 aircraft family. The PW4062 is a 60,000-lb class engine offering low operation and maintenance costs and high reliability. It represents the first military application of PW4000 series engines.
