The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) FT-5 is a GPS-assisted, guided bomb intended to engage fixed-position ground targets from safe ranges for the carrier aircraft. The FT-5 was developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to meet the requirements of the PLAAF, Pakistani Air Force and export customers operating aircraft such as the FC-1/JF-17 fighter jet.
