The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) showcased a new road-mobile Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), reported name undisclosed, during a military parade in Pyongyang on April 15, 2017. The KN-X is the follow-up for KN-08 and KN-14 ICBMs also developed by North Korea. The missile employs solid fuel and has not been tested yet. Its range remains undisclosed but may exceed 6,000 kilometers. The Tractor-Erector-Launcher vehicle uses a 16x16 wheeled chassis from Chinese origin.

News
Japanese Defense Minister Tomomi Inada suggested that North Korea could have launched a new type of missile on Sunday, as the projectile reached an altitude of over 1,200 miles.
New intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) appear to have been displayed at the military parade that started in Pyongyang on Saturday, media report.
