The Elbit Systems' Electrically Remote Controlled Weapon Station - Medium (ERCWS-M) is a light armored vehicle weapon station equipped with a 12.7mm machine gun, day/night electro-optical sensors and a multi-threat detection system (MTDS) capable of pinpointing laser, radar and radiofrequency based threats. In May 2009 Austria purchased the ERCWS-M weapon station for installation on its LMV armored vehicles.
