PW500
Total Production : 2,500
The Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC) PW500 turbofan engine family has been developed to power corporate jets providing higher levels of reliability, durability and cost effectiveness. Moreover, PW500 offer low noise emission and low fuel consumption. This engine family delivers from 3,000 to 4,500 pounds of thrust. PW500 engines consist of an integrally bladed rotor; a common core compressor with a single centrifugal compressor; a reverse flow combustor; and thrust management governed by hydromechanical fuel control unit. An Electronic Engine Control (EEC) system is available as optional equipment.
