The Tracker, also kwon as the DRAC in France, is a mini-Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) intended to provide reconnaissance capabilities at closer ranges for both military and civil customers. The hand-launched system can be ready for deployment by a crew of two-man in less than 15 minutes. The Tracker air vehicle can remain on station for 90 minutes at ranges of up to 10 kilometers. The air vehicle features real-time secure data-links, autonomous flight control and GPS-based navigation, low operating costs, and ease of maintenance and operation. EADS has designed the Tracker to perform over-the-hill reconnaissance and surveillance; reconnaissance and battle damage assessment at closer ranges; and location, reconnaissance, identification, classification and tracking.
