US Navy Orders 120 millimeter Precision Extended Range Munitions

Raytheon Co. Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $98,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of the projectile, 120 millimeter Precision Extended Range Munition (PERM). The 120mm PERM will provide an extended range, guided, precision-capable projectile with improved lethality for the Expeditionary Fire Support System. The contract will include, but is not limited to, production verification and type qualification projectiles (low-rate initial production), technical documentation, and production orders. The contract will have a maximum 60-month effective period, with five 12-month ordering periods. The first delivery order, in the amount of $13,252,173, will be awarded simultaneously. Work will be performed in Ramat Hasharon, Israel (39 percent); Tucson, Arizona (32 percent); Cedar Rapids, Iowa (15 percent); Mesa, Arizona (5 percent); Camden, Arkansas (3 percent); Lowell, Massachusetts (2 percent); Simsbury, Connecticut (2 percent); Seneca, Missouri (1 percent); and Gilbert, Arizona (1ne percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2020. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test, and evaluation funds (Marine Corps) in the amount of $7,741,024; and fiscal 2016 research, development, test, and evaluation (Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $5,511,149, will be obligated under the first delivery order. No funds expire will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with two proposals solicited and one offer received. Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity (M67854-16-D-6007).
