Russian Army Ratnik 3 Infantry Combat Gear to Receive Control System for Drones and Combat Robots
Released on Friday, December 23, 2022

The Legionnaire equipment being developed for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will receive a built-in control system for drones and combat robots.

RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to an anonymous source in the military-industrial complex. The interlocutor said that the presence of a robotic support system would radically distinguish the new generation equipment from the Ratnik equipment already used in the troops.

The developers will equip the new equipment with an armored helmet with an augmented reality system, which will display data from drones and robots. "Legionnaire" are going to finalize in an accelerated mode - in a year instead of three years, as previously planned.

The Russian defense industry will also try to create a version of the Legionnaire with an "iron man suit". It will be made of composite armor and will completely cover the fighter's body.
