Russian Navy Rezkiy Corvette Successfully Intercepts 3M80 Moskit Mach 3 Capable Supersonic Cruise Missle during Sea Trials

The Russian Defense Ministry has published a video of the interception of the Moskit cruise missile fired from a mock enemy surface ship. The R-20 missile boat, located 90 kilometers from the target, acted as an enemy ship. Corvette "Sharp" project 20380 as part of the factory sea trials in the Sea of ​​Japan with its air defense systems destroyed the cruise missile "Mosquito". After testing, the corvette will be handed over to the Russian Navy in 2023.

The launch of the target missile was timely detected by the ship's crew. After that, the crew of the Redut anti-aircraft missile system destroyed the supersonic target at a safe distance for the Sharp. A 100 mm A-190 gun mount fired at the target synchronously with the anti-aircraft missile system .

The firing area was closed to civilian navigation. Test safety was provided by 15 warships and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet.
