Russia Employing Jet-Powered Geranium Drones in Ukraine

Our military began using Geranium jets in Ukraine. Why is this a nightmare for enemy air defense?

Now it doesn’t just buzz like a moped, but hums like an entire airplane. And it poses an increased danger . These are the alarming intonations of the Ukrainian media, which claim that a new type of Geranium drone, equipped with a jet engine, is already being used against the infrastructure of the Kyiv regime.

In confirmation, Svidomo Telegram channels publish interesting photos. Where and under what circumstances they were made - of course, we cannot say. However, the engine here is really not gasoline. Looks like a typical jet propulsion system. So it’s not hard to believe the complaints of the dry landers about the acceleration of this drone to five hundred kilometers per hour.

Reports about the readiness of our armed forces to actively use such kamikaze UAVs in the special operation zone have previously appeared repeatedly. Therefore, the time has come to find out what they are even capable of? And what is the threat to the Bandera junta?

The difference between a Geranium with a piston engine and a jet engine is approximately the same as that of an airplane with a propeller and a modern fighter. Another level .

The famous Geraniums, which terrify the Ukrainian army , apparently have received an important update. Photos of the wreckage of a new type of kamikaze drone are spreading across Ukrainian social networks.

By the way, the American media were among the first to react to the publication. Moreover, they are unexpectedly honest: in their opinion, the appearance of a jet version of the Geranium is very bad news for the Kyiv regime:

“The emergence of a new type of UAV will increase the load on modern air defense systems, which Kyiv already lacks. Concerns about a shortage of ammunition for air defense systems are growing.”

The fact that “Geranium” is about to receive an upgrade was known earlier. Back in November, similar loitering munitions were demonstrated in Iran. According to Western journalists, they could be the result of military-technical cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.

Judging by the published information, the new drones are similar in appearance to the Geranium-2 model. Same size and shape. But the warhead, as experts suggest, may be larger than that of its predecessor, and, accordingly, its destructive ability is greater. And most importantly, the updated version flies about three times faster.

Dark times are coming for the anti-aircraft gunners of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: if earlier the fight against our UAVs was simply a difficult and thankless task, now it is turning into a game of survival.

Thanks to its high speed, the new drone can overcome enemy air defense control zones three times faster. Which will significantly reduce the time allotted for hitting an air target.

In addition, according to experts, the jet engine will allow the Geranium to perform the “slide” maneuver. That is, in front of the target, soar to a height of up to 10 km, and from there dive down. This is almost impossible to reflect at all. Moreover, according to some reports, mobile air defense systems themselves may be targets. Until now, "Geraniums" have not been able to hit them. And they were used exclusively in factories, warehouses and repair shops .

By the way, the reaction of Ukrainians to the news about the Geranium Jet is very indicative. Blogs and channels are discussing photographs with all their might. But official Kyiv is reserved in its comments.

Air Force spokesman Ignat, for example, refused to confirm information about the new UAV. Did the Geranium really fly by so fast that Pan Ignat didn’t notice?

But for what purpose is this pretense? Maybe so that the military would not lose heart? In terms of the morale of the Geranium dry-land workers, they were and are being beaten no less weakly than they were hit at military factories. For the Ukronazis, this ammunition has become a real symbol of inevitable doom. Oh, that signature ominous hum. If you heard him, run as far as possible.

Even before, it was impossible to destroy “Geranium”: no matter what you shoot at it, even throw jars of cucumbers, the UAV will still reach the target. Well, it’s time to take paranoia in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a new level.
