Released on Tuesday, February 06, 2024
The Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan Concern has developed a multi-position drone surveillance system that determines the coordinates and analyzes drones.
“We are talking about a multi-position surveillance system that combines various radio equipment for monitoring and controlling airspace and a common server for determining the coordinates and analyzing detected UAVs,” Deputy General Director of the concern Dmitry Savitsky said in an interview with RIA Novosti .
According to open information, a multi-position system assumes the presence of several radar stations that are spaced apart in space.
Savitsky said that work is already underway to select specific installation sites for new equipment in the Samara, Tomsk and Tyumen regions, and the issue is also being studied in the Moscow region. In addition, the task of integrating the developed equipment into the unified information system of the center of the Unified Air Traffic Management System is being solved.
According to the Deputy General Director, the new system will be able to create a unified information field in the airspace for low altitudes where UAVs, helicopters and small aircraft fly. In this way, control will be established over the aircraft - it will be possible to monitor whether the aircraft are moving along prescribed and established routes.
