Russian Navy Frigate Used Otvet Anti-Submarine Missile during Okean-2024

A Northern Fleet (NF) naval group practiced firing at an underwater target as part of the Okean-2024 strategic command and staff exercises. The Admiral Kasatonov frigate, part of the group, launched an electronic missile system called Otvet, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
They noted that the naval group also included the large anti-submarine ship Aleksandr Levchenko and the small missile ship Snezhnogorsk.
"At the final stage of the exercises, the crews of the anti-submarine ships performed combat exercises using anti-submarine weapons - firing at a simulated underwater target from RBU-6000 rocket launchers," the department said. "The crew of the frigate Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov used the Otvet anti-submarine missile system with an electronic launch."
The Okean-2024 exercises started on Tuesday , September 10, and will last until September 16 inclusive. As reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, they will be held in the Pacific and Arctic Oceans, the Baltic, Caspian and Mediterranean Seas. The maneuvers involve over 400 ships, submarines and support vessels, as well as about 120 aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Okean-2024 exercises will allow testing key aspects of the combat readiness of the command and control bodies, units and formations of the country's navy and aerospace forces.
