The Hatf-7, also known as Babur (a 16th century Muslim invader of India) or Hatf VII, is a surface-to-surface medium-range cruise missile developed by Pakistan and test-fired for the first time on October 28, 2011. The Hatf-7 has a maximum range of 700 kilometers and can be equipped with either a conventional or nuclear warhead. It features stealth capabilities with the missile flying at low altitudes with high maneuverability to evade air defense's radar detection. According to Pakistan the missile's accuracy is outstanding. The Babur cruise missile is launched from a road-mobile multi-tube platform which was also validated during the test carried out on October 28, 2011.

The Babur-2 is an air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) intended to hit targets deep inside enemy territory from safe ranges. The Babur-2 is a variant developed on the basis of the longer-range Babur cruise missile. The Babur-2 can carry a variety of payloads including both nuclear and conventional warheads. The first test-firing of this new missile was carried out by the Pakistani Air Force in December 2016.

The first test-firing of this new missile was carried out by a submarine of the Pakistani Navy on January 9, 2017.
