The Sapsan is a tactical ballistic missile developed by Ukraine with an estimated range of 500-700 kilometers. The new missile is launched from road-mobile platforms and is intended to hit ground targets. The missile leverages the technologies from a previous Sapsan missile and some insights from the Russian Kalibr cruise missile. The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the readiness of the new strike missile in late July 2024.
